After a long gap. I'm still here at Bodyfuddau, getting older and more decrepit but coping. Only have one dog now, Silver. She's getting elderly too but still galloping a mile a day down the lane while I accompany her on a mobility scooter.
The sheep are all gone. Luki and Badger lasted till they were 18 which is pretty old for a sheep. When Oli had to tell Llinos that Badger was no more, she said sadly, 'That's the end of my childhood. isn't it. Badger had arthritis like me so went to live on the farm with Oli as it was dangerous for him here as he could not get out of the stream if he wandered into it and I couldn't rescue him. The last rime he did that Oli had to rescue him. He had a nice life though.
I think I may have to find another home for this blog as I am not quite sure where it is now.

Hello Daphne,

This is a note from Marion Grau, an English student of yours in 1981 (I believe). I have no idea why I just happened to think of Idiom Language School and remembered your name at once, but there it is, and here you are!

I have been living in Canada since 1983 and am now a new grandmother. I would love to get one of your sheepdog books to read to the little one, in a little while! She’s only 6 months old so far. What do you recommend?

It’s wonderful to see your face in the photo and read a bit of your writing. You’re exactly as I remember.

Love,
Marion

Hello Marion
How nice to hear from you. I've lost touch with nearly everyone due to several technical problems. Last year I fell over and broke my leg and while I was in hospital The Welsh government sent men to insulate my house. It is a scheme they have for people who are old, live alone and live in a very old house. In order to do the walls they jad to move all my furniture and did not reconnect my computer so I mislaid all sorts of things. Also during that time Pete, a friend, moved in to look after Silver. He in with the dogs in the post below in the garden. Sad to say he has now dies, heart problems not corunovirus. Silver has gone too and I now have a little brown Welsh sheep dog. Meantime, of course, due to my age and underlying illnesses I have been locked down for months. I;m no longer teaching but still writing and when I have sorted out my computer, which also was hospitalised at our local computer shop after I mucked it uo. I have bad eyesight and should have another eye operation but such things are on hold due to lock down. Consequently not only am I technically incopetent but also I can't see what I'm doing. When I have reconstituted my web site or mae another I shall put another blog here to tell you where to find the books or I can send you one if you email me your address. merilang@mail365.wales.
